My entire self-hosted infrastructure – AI platform, Git forge, monitoring stack, automation workflows, databases, recipe manager, portfolio tracker, and more – runs on approximately 36 EUR per month. The SaaS equivalent of these services would cost somewhere between 200 and 350 USD per month. That’s a 5-10x cost multiplier for letting someone else run the same software on their computers.
